What does each cartridge filter?

Red Filter- Pre-filter
- 1 micron
- Polyethylene
- Removes rust, sediments and bigger particles 

Yellow Filter- Activated Carbon Block
- 0.5 micron
- Reduction of residual chlorine
- Removes triholomethanes (THM’s) and volatile organic components (VOC’s)
- Removes bad taste and odor 

Purple Filter- Ultrafiltration Membrane
- Hollow fiber 0.01 micron- Made from Polysulfone
- Removal of water borne microorganism, bacteria, algae and cysts
- Reduction of particles ≥0.01 micron
- It allows healthy minerals to pass 

Blue Filter- Anti-bacterial Granular Activated Carbon (4 stage only)
- Silver ions prevent a growth of bacteria inside the filter media and a contamination from the outside
- Removes bad taste and odor
